String Tension Guide:
Beginner = 16 - 19 foot-lbs
Intermediate = 20 - 23 foot-lbs
Advanced = 24 - 27 foot-lbs
- Restringing a racquet is the best upgrade. About $25 all-in. Many string colours to choose from. Strings regularly for professional players.
- Most new racquets that come with strings are beginner or intermediate racquets. Their string tension is usually at 16-19.
- Increasing your string tension as an intermediate or advanced player is a great way to hit the shuttle better.
